Scope and Contents An extremely wide and varied collection of material relating to mainly British cultural tradition made up of individual donations to the Archives of Cultural Tradition. It comprises of printed ephemera, hand written accounts and reproduced and original documents across a wide time frame. The collection comprises manuscript, printed, photographic and audio items relating in the main to Charlotte Norman’s interest and academic research into the Derbyshire well-dressing custom. It also contains a number of academic folklore text books and journals, magazines, transparencies and photographs of corn dollies, canal boat art and Derbyshire calendar customs other than well-dressings.

Scope and Contents The collection consists of printed and manuscript items, black and white and colour photographs, audio-cassettes and artefacts amassed as part of Dave Bathe’s research on Derbyshire mumming/guising traditions and the morris dance performed by members of the Taddington Oddfellows’ Lodge. This collection consists of assorted research materials relating to marine convoys and those who played a part in them during the Second World War. It was assembled by Morgiana Halley for her PhD entitled “An Ethnography of Marine Convoys of World War II”, which was completed in 1996 at the University of Sheffield. The collection includes sound recordings of interviews, correspondence, primary documents, poems and songs, newspaper cuttings, photocopies and research notes.
